Hi, I'm Amanda.
The Amanda Edit is my take on the things worth knowing about in style, beauty, home and everywhere in between. Personal style, beauty worth the extra step, making home somewhere you actually want to spend the weekend, and the little luxuries that make an ordinary day better.
I’ve always been someone who loves finding the thing. The jeans I keep reaching for, the beauty product I immediately text my friends about, the home find that changes a whole room, the place worth going, or the completely unnecessary purchase that somehow becomes a favorite.
The Edit is where all of that comes together. Some of it is practical, some of it is purely for fun, and none of it needs to be that serious. It’s a thoughtfully curated look at what I’m wearing, buying, loving, doing and recommending, with plenty of real life mixed in.
Because I think good taste has a lot less to do with having the most and a lot more to do with knowing what’s worth it, enjoying what you have, and finding ways to make the everyday feel a little more elevated.
I’m a Long Island native who loves getting dressed, making my house feel like home, trying basically any beauty treatment once, planning a trip, and finding a really good place to eat. I love getting dressed up and going somewhere fun, but I’m just as happy spending a Sunday at home rearranging something in my house for the hundredth time. I’ll choose the nicer hotel, go out of the way to get a Mcdonald's Diet Coke, buy myself the flowers, and am generally in favor of anything that makes an ordinary day feel a little more special.
I also have a lot of opinions about the things I buy, which is probably how we ended up here. I don’t think everything needs to be an investment, and I definitely don’t think expensive automatically means better. I just like good things. The $12 beauty product that somehow beats everything else I own, the jeans I reach for three times a week, the random home find I tell everyone about, or the thing I saved for because I knew I’d love it for years. If it earns its place, I’m into it.
